WHY HYBRID

Built by Tradespeople. Run on Trust.

Since 2022, we've completed 1,000+ residential projects across Los Angeles and Orange County, from roofing and remodels to room additions and ADUs. We're founder-run and licensed, bonded, and insured, but what keeps homeowners referring us is simpler: we show up, we communicate, and we finish the job right.

Most of what goes wrong on a renovation isn't the work, it's the communication. So every homeowner we take on gets one point of contact, from the first estimate to the final walkthrough.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Questions Homeowners Ask Us

Straight answers about how we work, what projects cost, and what to expect when you hire a licensed contractor. No pressure, no runaround.

Are you licensed, bonded, and insured in California?

Yes. Hybrid Renovations is a licensed California general contractor, CSLB license #1085596, classified as a Class B General Building contractor. We carry the state-required contractor's bond and are fully insured, with both general liability and workers' compensation coverage. You can verify our license anytime at cslb.ca.gov using our license number.

Which cities do you serve across Los Angeles and Orange County?

We serve homeowners across all of Los Angeles County and Orange County, from Long Beach, Downey, and Whittier to Pasadena and Santa Clarita, and throughout Anaheim, Santa Ana, Irvine, and Newport Beach. For larger projects we'll occasionally travel just past the county line to Chino, Chino Hills, Ontario, or Corona. If you're nearby and don't see your city listed, reach out and we'll tell you straight whether we're a fit.

How much can a contractor ask for upfront in California?

California law limits the deposit on a home improvement project to $1,000 or 10% of the total contract price, whichever is less. On a $30,000 remodel, the most a contractor can collect upfront is $1,000. From there, payments are tied to the work as it's completed. We follow this rule on every project, and it's worth being cautious with any contractor who asks for more.

How long will my project take?

It depends on what you're doing, so here are real ranges instead of "it depends." These are active construction time:

  • Roof replacement: 1 to 3 days
  • Interior or exterior painting: 1 to 2 weeks
  • Flooring: 1 to 2 weeks
  • Bathroom remodel: 2 to 5 weeks
  • Kitchen remodel: 3 to 8 weeks
  • Whole-home renovation: 2 to 3 months

Permits add time on top and vary by city. Your written estimate gives you a start date and a finish date before you sign, and your project manager updates you against it the whole way.

What happens if the project goes over budget or the scope changes?

The full scope and price are spelled out in your written estimate before any work begins, and that price stays good for a full year, so the number you approve is the number you plan around. Any change to the project is your decision. If you choose to add or adjust something along the way, we document it in a written change order with the cost and your approval before we proceed. Nothing is ever added to your bill without your sign-off. One dedicated project manager runs your job from the first call to the final walkthrough, so there's one person to ask and one answer.

What kind of warranty comes with your work?

Every project is backed by our written workmanship warranty. If we installed it wrong, we come back and fix it. On top of that, your materials carry their own manufacturer warranties, which vary by product and are spelled out in your estimate. On roofing specifically, we're an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor, which means we can register coverage that puts Owens Corning behind the installation too, not just us. Warranty terms vary by project and material, and we'll walk you through exactly what applies to yours before you sign anything.

Do you offer financing or payment plans for home renovations?

Yes. Financing is available with approved credit, so you can spread your project cost over time instead of paying all at once. Many homeowners get same-day approval. We'll walk you through the options during your free estimate and build them into your written estimate so you see the full picture upfront.

Will you pull the permits for my project?

Yes. When your project requires permits, we pull them as part of the job, and the permit costs are built into your written estimate. Work such as roof replacements, additions, ADUs, structural changes, and electrical, plumbing, or HVAC updates usually needs a permit, and handling it correctly keeps your project code-compliant and protects you at inspection and at resale.

¿Hablan español? Do you handle projects in Spanish?

Sí. We answer calls, run estimates, and manage projects in Spanish and English. Your project manager will speak whichever you prefer, from the first call through the final walkthrough. Atendemos en español, de la primera llamada hasta la caminata final.
