The hardest part of running a business is making sure the people, processes, and decisions behind the work are moving in the same direction. That is what pulled me toward Business Administration. I was less interested in theory than in how a company actually functions: how people get hired, how they are supported, and how clear communication keeps a team pointed at the same goal. Construction turned out to be an honest place to test that. When a crew arrives at your house, everything you see depends on decisions made long before, by people you will never meet.
As the HR Manager at Hybrid Renovations, those decisions are my job. I help find the people who become our project managers and crews, and I look for what a homeowner would: whether they show up when they say they will, whether they treat someone else's home with care, and whether they tell the truth when a job gets complicated. I keep our processes clear enough that everyone knows what is expected of them, and I try to be the person our employees can come to when something is not working. A team that is looked after is a team that looks after your home.
