Where I grew up, your word was about the only thing that you really owned outright. People remembered who did what they said they were going to do, and they remembered a lot longer who did not. I came to this company right at the very start, back when there was no procedure in place for anything and we were still working out how we wanted to run a job. A fair amount of what we landed on came from that: say what you are going to do, then go and do it, and never make somebody chase you down for an answer they should already have had.
The part I am proudest of is the crews. Most of the people who will be working inside your house are people I have worked alongside for years, and some of them since close to the very beginning. They stay because they get paid right and treated right, and that shows up in your house whether you know to look for it or not. A crew that wants to be there works differently than a crew that does not, and you can usually see the difference in the finish work. You are hiring me, but you are getting them, and I have spent a long time making sure that is a good thing.
